I recently took my annual hiatus to Montana to re-energize. I always love going "home", but going in the fall is especially nice since I now live in the heat of Mesa, AZ. We just don't get those beautiful fall colors, or that crispness in the air. My friend Beth and I took a drive out to the Bear Paw Mountains one afternoon to soak up some peace and of coarse contemplate the meaning of life. So which is the Royal Beauty, the gorgeous leaves or my precious friend?
I created this layout using three pieces of cardstock from the Steel Toe Mary Jane collection from Prima. I also used the matching chipboard embellishments for the title piece, the bottom piece and the nature piece. The Orchid girls originally had "ADVENTURE" in mind, but why not cut apart the letters for "NATURE" instead? See the list below of all of the words I came up with. Happy Creating Coniseurs!

ADVENTURE
Advent (perfect colors for spring/Easter)
Venue (rock concert anyone?)
Rad or Red (even though the papers are pink, my red leaves look great!)
Dent (oops)
Neat
Vader (as in Darth)
Net (www.)
Read
Dear
Ten (very cute for a birthday girl!)
Tea (and cookie party)
Tan (great colors for a summer or pool layout)
Tear
Denture (sorry, I couldn't help myself)
You get the idea, the possibilities are endless...

Hi, Amy.
I had wanted to talk with you this afternoon at Mystic about your connection with Montana. However, I was in a push to gather the product for the "one and only" class I was going to teach. (It was scheduled prior to the decision that "design team" members couldn't teach unless they gave up their spot on the team.) Anyway, you have mentioned in your blog that you had recently returned from your annual hiatus to Montana, which you referred to as "home". I, too, am from Montana and relish every opportunity to go home. Luckily my parents still live there so I am able to go at least once a year. I lived in Great Falls for about 6 years, then in Kalispell for over 20 and graduated from High School there. Where did you grow up? Hope this isn't an intrusion, but I don't have a real email address for you so thought to contact you this way. So, for the love of the mountains, we are connected somehow. Have a happy Holiday!
Amy, My Dear, you better get busy posting - you log in less often than I do and I contributed 1 entry to my blog in the entire month of December! I am just teasing you, of course. I just thought I would check in and see how your creations are going and tell you I miss you! I know you called a couple of times and when I finally get your call returned, you will know why it's been so long! I thought 2008 would be better to me but so far, it's been a challenge! I hope the year has started off good for you and I will call soon to find out for myself - Love You, Beth
